When it comes to being worth more, little compares to the value of a college education. IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union wants to help members pay for it with a variety of scholarship opportunities for members.

All IHMVCU members are eligible for these scholarships, regardless of where they live.

IHMVCU Scholarship
IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union knows that college can be quite costly. In an effort to assist our members, IHMVCU is offering 24 $1,000 scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year. Members who demonstrate academic excellence, good character, community and school involvement are eligible to apply.

Scholarships will be awarded as such:

Quad Cities 9 scholarships
Abingdon 2 scholarships
Burlington 2 scholarships
DeWitt 2 scholarships
Galesburg 2 scholarships
Monmouth 2 scholarships
Prophetstown 2 scholarships
IHMVCU Family* 2 scholarships
Carl Sandburg College
(current student or incoming freshman) 1 scholarship

*IHMVCU Family refers to spouses, children, grandchildren of IHMVCU employees and board of directors.

Deadline: March 1, 2012

Iowa Credit Union Foundation's Family Involvement Board (FIB) Scholarship
Traditional students. Open to any IHMVCU member classified as a high school junior or senior with a graduation date projected in 2012 or 2013. Scholarships awards will range from $500 to $1,500 for first through fourth place winners.

Non-traditional/continuing education students. Open to any IHMVCU member attending or planning to enter an accredited undergraduate, graduate or vocational program. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline: February 3, 2012

Illinois Quad City Chapter of Credit Union Scholarship
Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to anyone belonging to a participating Illinois credit union. As an active participant of this association, IHMVCU members qualify to participate in this scholarship program.

Deadline: February 15, 2012
