Alumni Association Scholarship

It has long been the tradition of the Alumni Association membership to support student learning in the form of donations to annual scholarships. The 2013 Alumni Association Board combined existing predecessor school alumni scholarship funds into one fund. This comprehensive scholarship was approved at the Annual Business meeting at that time. In 2015, additional existing memorial gifts, whose funds did not reach the endowment minimum, were combined to strengthen the Alumni Association Scholarship for nursing and the health sciences students.

At the annual business meeting in September 2015, the membership again approved their commitment to reaching the minimum endowment level of $25,000. Achieving endowment level and growing the funds will ensure the future of this scholarship for students at Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences. In 2016 the membership achieved that goal! Make your donation through the Trinity Health Foundation to the Alumni Association Scholarship and watch it grow.

To be eligible for the Alumni Association Scholarship award, a student must, at minimum:

  • Be a first or second-year student at Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences; or be enrolling in advanced nursing or health sciences degree courses beyond the certificate, diploma, or associate/bachelor degree level depending on program type;

  • Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or more on a 4-point scale at the time of application if currently enrolled, or from a previous program of study;
  • Be current with alumni dues and remain current if the applicant is an alumnus completing an advanced degree.
Awards will also be determined by past academic performance and the career and educational goals of the student. Applicants with demonstrated financial need will be given preference.
