The following instructions were emailed to students concerning the available emergency financial aid grant. If you believe you have incurred expense directly related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus you may be eligible for Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Emergency Funds. To apply please complete the CAREAS Act form and return to The Director of Business Services by 4:30 pm CST on Monday, May 18, 2020. Students received 4 emails reminding them of the deadline. Students forms were reviewed as they were submitted to determine if listed expenses were directly related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus. Students were asked follow-up questions if clarification of claimed expenses was necessary. Students who completed a form that did not have a FAFSA on file were asked to complete a 2019-20 FAFSA before eligibility could be determined.
All students who were deemed eligible for Title IV aid and completed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Emergency Funds form by the May 18, 2020, 4:30 pm CST deadline who indicated that they had an expense directly relating to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus were awarded funds. Total funding was split equally among the 83 eligible students.
