Financial Aid & Resources
Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences attempts to provide financial aid to all students who qualify. Financial aid is the available federal, state and private funding that a student may receive to be used toward educational expenses. Various types of financial aid include grants, scholarships, loans, VA educational benefits, and various other forms of funding.
Financial aid is not intended to cover a student's total educational expenses. However, it is intended to act as a supplement to the student's contribution toward their educational expenses.
Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences assists each individual student to develop a comprehensive plan for financing their education through a combination of financial assistance programs (if eligible), employer tuition assistance (when applicable) and payment plans. All questions and concerns regarding the various types of financial assistance should be directed to the Financial Aid Specialist, (309) 779-7740.
Applying for Federal Financial Aid
The first step to applying for financial aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. The Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences School Code - 006225 - will need to be added to your application.
The FAFSA serves as the application for all federal (and most state) student aid programs. This includes Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) and Federal Direct Loans®. The information reported on the FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for need-based aid.
The FAFSA must be completed every school year (July 1 - June 30) for which a student plans on attending and receiving financial aid funds.
Financial Aid Offer
The Financial Aid Specialist will contact each accepted student with their individual FAFSA results and provide them with a Financial Aid Offer.
NOTE: You are not required to accept any or all of the financial aid you are deemed eligible for through the FAFSA. The Financial Aid Specialist will work with you to create a personalized funding plan and advise you to borrow only what is needed to finance your education.
You may request an adjustment to your Financial Aid Offer based on special or unusual circumstances by contacting the Financial Aid Specialist.
