COVID-19 College Updates
Latest Update
2 November 2020
Trinity College Students:
The purpose of this communication is to share information regarding the surge in COVID positive cases in our community and Trinity College's response to mitigate the effects of this increase. Nationally, we are experiencing a dramatic increase in COVID cases and resulting hospitalizations due to COVID-19. This is also the case in Illinois and Iowa. With the emergence of seasonal flu, we should aggressively implement the basics measures of frequent hand washing, social distancing when possible, and staying home when sick.
In response to the increased COVID-19 positivity rate in our area, effective 2 November 2020, Trinity College will implement Mandatory Universal Masking in all areas of the College. Universal masking should be implemented while in classrooms, labs, computer lab, study rooms, restrooms, and all common areas of the College. Faculty and Staff are mandated to wear mask when leaving their offices or when students/colleagues/patrons enter their work area. This masking mandate is in effect during all times, whether regular operating hours or after hours when accessing the facilities to study.
Please continue to follow the Colleges Safe People Practices COVID-19 Policy. If you are ill, stay home. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to a COVID-19 positive individual, use this policy to guide your actions/response.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to keep our campus and community safe.
